Summer always gets pretty hectic for me. As soon as the weather gets nice there are so many fun outdoor things to do that my crafting slows down to almost a stop.
And then comes fall and Quiet Valley Farm's Harvest Festival (http://www.quietvalley.org/). I go every year and spend the long Columbus Day weekend surrounded by fellow crafters on an awe inspiring historical farm. I can think of no better way to start off the crafting season. :)
In the spirit of Halloween I decided to start with this spooky little vampire. He's quick to crochet and is a hit as my seasonal desk decoration at work.
The pattern is free from Lion Brand Yarn: http://www.lionbrand.com/cgi-bin/patternFinder.fcgi?language=&store=%2Fstores%2Flionbrand&cost=%2Fstores%2Flionbrand&search=1&craft=Crochet&searchText=vampire&submit.x=0&submit.y=0&submit=search
You'll have to register, but it's definitely worth it.
Happy Fall Crafting!

Little Lambs
Well it's lambing season so of course I need to add to my herd! These little egg cozys were made from a pattern at the lion brand yarn website (I'll post the link later).

Sheep egg cozy
This little sheep is actually crocheted around the egg (which was a new technique for me).
I couldn't get the bead eye to look quite right so i just left them off... but I think he looks just fine without it.

Try and fail.....
On Saturday I was sick so I spent most of the day crocheting this bath poof. So on Saturday evening I go to take a shower (using my new poof of course) and realize how awful it really is!! It's like washing with a brick!
So it could just be the type of cotton i used, but I don't recommend crocheted cotton bath poofs. But yes, I'm still using it in hopes that it will get better with use....
I dare to dream. :)

Here is my new piggie! But what should I name him?
Any suggestions?

Thanks!
scrubbies
Introducing my first ever original design!!!
I'm still perfecting it, but the basic idea is a cotton dish scrubbie on one side and a recycled plastic bag dish scrubbie on the other side.
I will be putting together a pattern in pdf form later once I get some of the kinks worked out.

mouse cat toy
This was my first crochet project! I've given one of these to my friend's cat for a little 'product testing'. I can't wait to hear the results.
The pattern is from the Cozy Crochet Kit by Melissa Leapman.
Kristin's scarf
I just learned how to crochet in the beginning of January and already I've completed 4 scarves!!! This is my latest one for a co-worker.
You can find the pattern for this scarf at: http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/chs-oneSkeinHatScarf.html?noImages=
Baby Owls
The general consensus about these owlets is that they are just way too adorable!
The pattern can be found at: http://littlegreen.typepad.com/romansock/instant-crochetification.html
I made a couple slight changes to the pattern:
1. I didn't have the size E crochet hook, so I used a size F instead.
2. The eyes are a bit bigger that requested.
